Assume Identity allows users to access Paragon under their own login credentials, but move through the system as another user. This is particularly useful for administrative assistants who need to add or edit listings on behalf of an agent. Everything the user does under Assume Identity will look like it was completed by the user that is being assumed.

HOW TO SET UP AND USE ASSUME IDENTITY

Providing Permission for Assume Identity

Users must provide permission for other users within the office to assume identity. Office and Firm Head Brokers can disregard these steps, as well as Office and Firm Head Admins; these user types will automatically have use assume identity for any users in their office/firm.

1. To give permission, go to Preferences and select "User."

2. From the menu on the left, choose Assume Identity.

3. Click the "Add" button, which will provide a modal showing a list of all of the users in your office.

4. Select as many names as you want to allow to assume your identity, then click "Save."

5. In the box, the names you just saved will display. These users will now be able to login under their own credentials and then assume your identity to complete tasks on your behalf.

6. If at any time you wish to remove permissions, select the name to remove and click "Delete." They will no longer have the ability to assume your identity. Note: any user who is removed from your office will lose the ability to assume your identity upon removal from the office.

How to Assume An Identity

1. Once you are logged in under your own account, go to the user menu in the top, right corner of Paragon and click "Assume Identity."

2. If you are the Office/Firm Head Broker or the Office/Firm Head Admin, you will automatically see everyone in your Office/Firm. Otherwise, for all other user types, the users who have given you permission to assume their identity will be listed here. If you cannot see a name, reach out to that user and ask that they provide you permission to assume their identity.

3. Select the name and click "Assume."

4. The system will refresh and you will now be moving through the system as that user. You can add and edit listings on their behalf, send emails, and do anything else that user is able to do.

5. When you need to return to your account or assume another identity, go back to the user menu and choose "Assume Identity." Select another name or click the hyperlink in the text at the top of the modal that reads "click here to return to your account."
